DIARIES FROM A MOVIEGOER
Il cinema può servire come rifugio o terapia? In questo cortometraggio semi-muto, girato in pellicola Super 8, il regista si confida con la sua migliore amica, rivelando le ragioni di un suo progressivo isolamento e i fantasmi che ha dovuto affrontare. Utilizzando immagini sperimentali realizzate su pellicola, racconta una parte dolorosa del suo passato e come il cinema l’ha aiutato a superarla.Christofer Antonio dos Reis Miranda Lopes, nato nel 1997, è un regista napoletano di origini capoverdiane. Negli anni, ha frequentato corsi di regia e workshop come quello di stampa su pellicola 16mm con Gaëlle Rouard, e ha lavorato come assistente alla regia in vari set di spot pubblicitari. Nel 2023 si laurea in Cinema al DAMS dell’Università Roma Tre e subito dopo viene ammesso al Documentary Summer School del Festival di Locarno.

In this semi-silent short film, shot on Super 8 film, the director confides in his best friend, revealing the reasons for his progressive isolation and the ghosts he had to face. Using experimental images made on film, he recounts a painful part of his past and how cinema helped him overcome it.Christofer Antonio dos Reis Miranda Lopes, born in Naples in 1997, is an Italian director of Cape Verdean origins. Over the years, he has attended directing courses and workshops such as the 16mm film printing workshop with Gaëlle Rouard, and has worked as an assistant director on various commercial sets. In 2023 he graduated in Cinema at the DAMS of Roma Tre University and immediately afterwards was admitted to the Documentary Summer School of the Locarno Film Festival.
