Il suo primo film del 2021, The Shadow Workers, è stato presentato in anteprima mondiale al DOK-Lipsia e ha vinto anche lo SCAM del Bruxelles Art Film Festival nel 2022. Nel 2023, è stata scelta per la residenza di “100 giorni Artistes en Residences” a Clermont-Ferrand per lavorare a un nuovo film. Dove sei, Faby Books? (2024) è il suo film più recente, sostenuto dal Fondo Audiovisivo Fiammingo (VAF).
Honey seller in search of organ virtuoso! In Where are you, Faby Books? the filmmaker/ honey seller wanders the streets of Ghent looking for Faby Books, the first female organist in Europe to record and the co-founder of Belgium’s largest concert hall, the Ancienne Belgique. None other than Saint Anthony, patron saint of lost causes, will show the way to our forlorn honey seller in Catholic Belgium.Annelein Pompe (1988) is a Dutch filmmaker living and working in Brussels. Her 2021 first film The Shadow Workers had its world premiere at DOK-Leipzig and also won the Brussels Art Film Festival’s SCAM in 2022. In 2023, she was selected for the 100-day Artistes en Residences residency in Clermont-Ferrand to work on a new film. Where are you, Faby Books? (2024) is her most recent film, supported by the Flemish Audiovisual Fund (VAF).
