Elsa
Elsa, il nome è quello della bambina ritratta mentre gioca nell’acqua, è un video realizzato con la tecnica step one, scansionando fotogramma per fotogramma un film Super 8 degli anni ‘70, con interventi manuali sulla stampa di ogni immagine con acrilico, carta riciclata, stampa laser, lettere trasferibili, pennarelli per writer, riscansionate e passate al video editing, combinando elementi tradizionali e digitali. L’installazione video consiste in un grande monitor adagiato a terra in modo che le persone possano camminare intorno ad esso come se fosse uno specchio d’acqua. Artista multidisciplinare, Mirko Credito è nato a Genova. Durante gli studi al liceo artistico, ha fondato Studiomobile, un gruppo artistico tuttora attivo, dove ha iniziato le sue sperimentazioni artistiche con il video e la fotografia. Ha frequentato la Scuola d’Arte Applicata al Ca- stello Sforzesco di Milano e nel 1994 ha iniziato la sua attività di graphic designer contemporaneamente a quella di artista. Dal 2011 al 2015 ha insegnato Digital Design all’Accademia Ligustica di Belle Arti di Genova.
