Beirut, Libano. Hassan sta assemblando delle tavole di legno. Sua moglie è morta. Sta costruendo la sua bara. Tamara e Rami, i figli, sulla ventina, lo aiutano come possono a realizzare gli ultimi desideri della defunta: essere sepolta nel suo villaggio d’infanzia, abbandonato da oltre 20 anni. Roy Arida Nato a Beirut, ha studiato cinema alla Fémis di Parigi, nel dipartimento di regia. Da quando si è laureato, ha continuato il suo lavoro come regista tra Francia e Libano, interessandosi di fiction e documentari. Nel 2012 ha fondato STANK, una casa di produzione con sede a Parigi.
Beirut, Lebanon. Hassan is assembling wooden boards. His wife is dead. He is building her coffin. Tamara and Rami, the children, in their twenties, are helping him as best they can to fulfill the last wishes of the deceased: to be buried in her childhood village, abandoned for more than 20 years. Born in Beirut, Roy studied cinema at la Fémis, Paris, in the directing department. Since he graduated, he has been pursuing his work as a director still in between France and Lebanon, with an equal interest for fiction and documentary. In 2012, he founded STANK, a production house based in Paris.
